1. Environmental - Made with Waste and Low Environmental Impact Materials
Some products are already produced and when they are no longer in use, they are then ready to be sent to landfill. As part of LAN Curated, we prioritise materials that help minimise wastage through recycling, such as fabrics made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic bottles from REPREVE. See our in-house LAN Better You everyday bags made from this 100% recycled polyester, or our products made from bamboo, an eco-friendly fast growing plant that can easily grow without fertiliser, pesticides or replanting.
We have carefully planned our product branding and packaging so as to reduce as much waste possible with the consideration of recycling and re-use. We do not use any plastic packaging and have considered more innovative ways to still offer you our products safely and in good condition; such as our biodegradable mailing envelopes or mesh drawstring pouches that can be re-used to package/ store fruit and vegetables or as laundry bags.
2. Re-Life through Up-cycling & Repair
We breathe new life to pre-loved garments and accessories by being innovative and creative in our methods of up-cycling and re-use. We carefully repair, re-create and re-life these pre-loved items so that they continue to carry on through the life cycle . Each Re-Life garment has been carefully selected and curated with the LAN Curated aesthetics, thoughtfully considered for its timeless and unique design; craftsmanship and quality to ensure its longevity over trends and fast-fashion. Through the re-life process, each garment is once again given the opportunity to be cherished.
3. Production and Manufacturing
We produce all of our in-house LAN woven garments and products locally in Perth, Western Australia. We take the time to source, test and sample the garments and products before we even consider them for you. This is to ensure that the items are not just socially and environmentally conscious, but are also of high quality standards.
4. Made to Order and Free Size Garments
Our in-house LAN woven garments and products are all made to order. Piece by piece are designed and considered throughout the year and presented to you with the LAN Curated aesthetics. The purpose of this is to not only help reduce the over-production of garments, but also allow garments to be slightly customised, creating a more unique piece. Our mission is to thoughtfully innovate and come up with better designs that can be worn by varying sizes and shaped bodies, reducing the need for people to continuously purchase garments according to their changing bodies.
