-Lan Chung-

Lan Chung is a Vietnamese-Australian designer, maker and interior architect; and the founder of LAN Curated. At a young age, Lan was initially exposed to the art of dressmaking by her mother, who was a seamstressFrom her experience as a middle child of four, stemmed the learning of resourcefulness as well as the room to explore her creativity; amidst lessened academic pressures. A dreamer at heart, Lan grew up as an innately curious child with a love for design and creating.

In her early career, after studying Fashion Design and Retail; Lan came to manage a cutting edge fashion boutique exhibiting highly innovative and beautifully made clothing and accessories, from designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the pieces she observed while working there, sparked her passion for unique, good quality design.

Lan’s fascination with the ubiquitous nature of design led her to formally pursue an honours degree in Interior Architecture; which laid the pathway for her to work for one of the top global interior design firms. A deep understanding of the power the physical environment has in shaping our wellbeing; the way we live, learn, work and play, informs each of Lan’s designs. Embedded in her passion for design, is the intention to elevate the human spirit and experience, by evoking the beauty and soul of people and place.
